We have water

With the kitchen being taken out back in January the only running water or sink in the house has been the bathroom. So it is very exciting to have actual running water downstairs and a sink!

The utility room now has its sink and it works! No more having to run upstairs every time we want water or to wash up.

We are hoping the washing machine will be fitted on friday and then the doors can be put on and that room can be finished.  The holes have been drilled in the ceiling ready for the lights and the decorator can then do the final coats of paint.

It is always good to come back from work to find large changes and last week was full of them. It's between the utility and the shower room as to which will be finished first. The tiling was finished at the start of the week and a few days later and the shower and rest of stuff was fitted.

There are a few themes running though the house, grey and walnut being two that make an appearance in every room. While not as grand as our hand crafted sideboard, the sink cabinet seemed to go with the theme.  Again all that is left in there now are the final coats of paint and putting in the lights and shaver socket.  Then they can re-fit the door and forget about it.

So which room will be finished first, and perhaps more importantly will they actually manage to finish them, or get distracted and leave them like this until the rest of the house catches up.
