It not all about the doors

With the excitement of the patio doors going in it was easy to forget everything else that is going on. Not helped by one of the builders damaging the phone line meaning we can use the phone or the internet but not both at the same time. Thankfully with everyone being around doing second fixes the electrician has it on his list to move the phone line into the house anyway, so hopefully we will be back to getting phone calls again at some point soon.

Inside we are now pretty much fully plastered. They finished the entrance hall today and I think there is only the reveals around the patio doors and sky lights to go.

The tiler has been in the shower-room finishing off the shower cubicle. The house grey theme is continuing in here. We realised after they were put up, how the grey striped ones match the kitchen cupboards.

The utility room is coming along as well. The cupboards are in waiting for the doors and then the sink and washing machine will be fitted in the next few days.

The floor tiles seem to work throughout, which is a relief. We have also selected the floors for the halls and other rooms.  It seems to be all decorating choices at the moment, which is no fun.  We still have to decide if we are going to be brave and go for the blue kitchen or leave it white.  The rest of the house we can re-paint but some how it seems more important to get the kitchen right the first time.
