We have doors.

For what seems like ages, this has been the view from the bottom of the garden.  Some things have changed; windows have been fitted, the roof has gone on. But that big opening has stayed boarded up waiting for the arrival of the patio doors.

Then yesterday it happened, the boarding came down.

It is strange looking out into the garden, especially as it was such a misty morning.

A few hours later and we have doors.

We both think it was worth the extra effort of looking for ones which could cope with 1m wide glass panels. It is nice to have so little frame and so much glass.

The tape all around the edge isn't a good look, it will be much nicer once that is all removed, but even in the early evening the light is great in the dining room now (not that the photo shows that).

So finally the house is totally open and we can walk into the kitchen and get the full amount of light. This evening it was warm enough to open the doors totally and wander out into the garden, not bad for the first week in April.  Something tells me if we get any sort of summer those doors are going to get a lot of use.

Now the plant display area (or patio as others are insisting on calling it) can be rendered and tiled. The plants are going to love it out there.
