It's our house and we'll peak if we want to.

It has been a busy week here, with the first fixes for plumbing and electrics going in, some finishing off the brickwork and most importantly the underfloor heating and screeds being laid to bring the floor levels up to finished.

Typical isn't it that this happens during a teaching week, so I wasn't here to witness any of it. K managed to sneak out and take one photo into her studio.

As you can see they smoothed the surface with what was described as "one of the big circular floor polishers".  This will basically form the finished floor so needs to be level.

To keep the interiors dry, the windows and doors have all been boarded up,  I am sure they have done it deliberately to torment us. We go out to explore and find we can't get in, or even peak in.

The nerve of some builders to stop us exploring our own extension!

Having checked it was OK to walk on the floor, we snuck into the side through the old front door and peaked through the old kitchen window into the kitchen-diner.

The last of the jacks is out and it is the first view with no obstructions at all.

Now if only we could get in for a proper look around!
