It's getting bright in here

There has been so much going on in the house this week, you never know what you will find.  From the outside things have progressed

We hope that now the bathroom dormer window has been re-clad it will be less draughty and a little warmer.

Lets face it, the exciting stuff is going on inside and walking in it took a second to realise the reason it was so bright was the sun streaming through the skylight.

The photos don't really show how bright it is, the builders now think this is their favourite place in the house.  Which is lucky, as with all the plaster off the wall, they are going to be spending some time in there getting it ready for the plasterer.

Now for a game of spot the difference. Here is the sky light from the last post

Then here it is today.  Notice anything different?

Yes the the beam has been moved up. It's actually much better, as it is no longer at eye level when standing at the top of the stairs. I am guessing the builders were happier as well as it now rests against the wall, so no fiddly plaster boarding and plastering.

The plasterer has been busy and has finished the studio and the study

It is a little strange to think they are onto the decorating stage in these rooms. This means yet more decisions as all of a sudden we have to get the flooring for these areas.  Just when you think you have bought, or decided on everything, along comes another set of things you have to look at.
