With Sunday being a slightly grey and damp day, we decided to head over to the house to help the builders by starting to strip the banisters.
It was strange working in there, we haven't had to touch anything since the start of the year. It was a bit of a shock to actually have to do things ourselves.
Very annoyingly the fire alarm is directly above where we were working and kept going off.
As the day wore on, the sun moved around and started to warm the space up enough to open the skylight. I wouldn't say it was warm, but we were at least able to take off one of our own layers.
The other job we needed to start was selecting colours for walls. A lot of the space will be painted white, but the kitchen will be some pale colour. This is the main space we need to decide on quickly, it would be nice to avoid having to repaint areas once all the work has finished. The studio got to be used for painting for the first time, I'm not sure the current furniture is up to scratch.
The green may be used in the study if we are feeling brave, or we may just end up painting everything white.
