It all looks very different in the garden now. Strange to think that only three weeks ago the view was this:
Then today:
We spent today putting the fence up, you can see the curve of the cul-de-sac now. It is nice to have the garden back to being private, and who would have thought the builders would leave it in such good condition without concrete and mess everywhere.
The have been some fun comments, from neighbours and family over the use. The neighbours are all jealous that we have a space like that and it's not just going to be filled up with kids' bikes. The family seem to be arguing over who's kids are going to live in there!
That sort of talk needs to be stopped rapidly, so I have been looking at woodwork benches before it can be used for anything else. We had hoped to paint in there this weekend but the plaster's not dry yet, so it's unlikely we'll be able to now.
Now there's just the small matter of building the flower beds, path and getting going on the green roof.
