Things really have been moving over the last week.
The roof went on and is great.
The builders have done a really good job on the fibreglass roof, it is almost a shame it is going to be totally covered. The green roof should help it last even longer.
Then over the next few days the inside was plasterboarded and the doors and windows arrived.
N.B. The wooden upright in the middle of the doors is a railway sleeper hammock post - it just looks a bit odd from the angle of the photo.
Now I understand there have been a few comments about this being a "southern shed" too posh for its bricks. It is starting to look that way, the roof is insulated, the walls plastered and all double glazed. It will probably be warmer than parts of the house. Maybe it should be converted into a man cave instead, a nice tv, a fridge a little bar! Hmm come to think it of Kate did get rid of the the spare fridge really quickly, I am begining to think she was taking pre-emptive steps!
Then it was only the fence to go.
Just got to sort the gate out now and the builders are off. We are going to spend another day putting the boards on the fence, it will be a lot easier then the marathon of doing both sides of the whole garden we went through last time.
We are really looking forward to getting in and being able to set up a little workbench, then it is on with the green roof and landscaping this new part of the garden.
