A big day at the muttley palace

Today is a bit of a landmark as the garden is now muttley proof.  The fence panel by the gate has been missing while I tracked down the last arris rail. We have had a temporary board filling the gap for the last week or so, then today the final bit of fencing was complete.

Not the most glamours view, but it feels good to have that final piece in place. Muttley will not be happy on her next visit when she finds her views and possible escape route have been blocked.

The other significant aspect to this photo is that the cold frame has been taken down and the plants put out in the garden.  There is going to be lots of shuffling of pots this year, while flower beds are built and some of the plants moved into them. In the mean time, they have to be stored somewhere and a couple of pot storage locations have been set up to keep them out of the way.

I'm not saying there will be no pots once the garden is finished, but hopefully there will be a lot less and they wont totally dominate the garden.  I wont miss having to constantly shift them around at different times of year.

Who knows the plant display area, may even be allowed to be used as a patio after all!
